As you can see from the galleries on this site, I’m mostly a people photographer although I do photograph animals, food, buildings and whatnot. It’s hard to sum up my style in words - you’re better off seeing for yourself - but it has been described as photojournalistic, artistic and “in the moment.”
I’m available to shoot weddings, editorial assignments, ad campaigns, commercial work, model portfolios, portraits and events, both in the San Francisco bay area and worldwide.

I actually enjoy shooting weddings - they’re happy, spontaneous, emotional events with endless opportunities for great shots. Please visit my weddings gallery to see if my style works for you. I feel I charge a fair price for the work I do but tend to get booked pretty far in advance, especially for the Northern California wedding season (August to November). portraits
My goal is to photograph who people are, not just what they look like. For some reason, I’ve a knack of putting my subjects at ease and capturing their inner essence (corny as that sounds). It’s partly because I spend plenty of time on shoots - up to six hours - and let my subjects do their own thing. I’m no a fan of posed shots, they always look stiff and uncomfortable to me. Besides, it’s much more fun to wait and see what unfolds in front of my camera.
everything else
As I hope you’ll agree after having a look around the galleries, I’m a pretty versatile photographer. I’ve shot penguins underwater in the Galapagos, trade conferences in Cabo San Lucas and all manner of strangeness at Burning Man. No matter what you need photographed, there’s a good chance I can do it.
