It took me a bit longer than last year (five days instead of three) but I’ve finally posted my Burning Man 2002 galleries
Shooting conditions were perfect; I only wish I had more time and energy to shoot 24/7. It truly is a photographer’s paradise. Looking back at previous years, I notice I’m getting ever closer to my subjects, and instead of whole people, I shot shoulders, backs, chests and a four inch crystal ball. Maybe I’ll bring a microscope next year. They aren’t heavily edited just yet - for example I’ve posted all 370 hips - so take time to delve around. And I really did mean to even the hips out male/female, but I shot a bunch of women early on and didn’t have time to catch up. I suppose I’m balanced when you take Gay Pride and Folsom Street Fair into consideration, but to be honest, women just look so much more beautiful to me.
(If you still don’t understand Burning Man, this article is the best description I’ve yet to read.)
In other news, I’m off on an all expenses paid two week shoot in the Galapagos Islands and Ecuador next week. As I’ve said before, I do love my job . . .
