Here’s a compelling argument against shooting digital: according to Information Week, the BBC’s 1986 $3.6m Domesday book project is almost unreadable because the laserdisc it’s on is fried. On the other hand, my father dug out a bunch of old negs, featuring my family all the way back to the ’20s and they’re doing just fine. This one missed the mailing; my bad. I was looking through my old high school web site last year and reconnected with a friend I hadn’t seen for 20 years. Anyway, he was passing through San Francisco and I got to meet him, his wife and beautiful seven month old daughter, Beth.
